Cafe Roka, one of the top rural restaurants in Arizona and where I also tend bar on Friday and Saturday, is marking their 21st year in business by opening a wine bar. Located in the restaurant at 35 Main Street in historic Bisbee, Roka Wine Bar tasting menus features Arizona regional wines paired with Chef/owner Rod Kass’s distinctive cuisine.
The Roka tasting room, open Saturday, noon-3:00 and Sundays from 12:30-4:00, will feature wines from Dos Cabezas, Pillsbury, Keeling Shafer, Arizona Stronghold, Dunham, and several others wineries. Customers will get five pours for $10, four from a set menu of the day plus one wine of their own choosing from a different selection.
Cafe Roka is 2 blocks down canyon from Copper City Inn. In addition to the Wine bar, which is open Saturday and Sunday noon-4:00, the restaurant is open for dinner Wed-Sat 5-9 pm. Reservations are at 520 432-5153. www.caferoka.com.
